Julius Baer Group
Julius Bär Group (or Julius Baer Group) is a Swiss bank that is the parent of Bank Julius Bär, a traditional private bank based in Zurich, Switzerland. The firm has its origin in 1890 when it was founded by the banker of the same name. The group manages substantial assets of private and institutional clients around the world. The firm's services basically consist of asset management, investment, consulting and investment funds for private and institutional investors, as well as investments in securities markets.
Apart from its headquarters in Switzerland, the bank has offices in London, Frankfurt am Main, Montevideo, Milan, Dubai, Moscow, Cayman Islands, New York, Singapore, Santiago and Hong Kong.
In September 2005, Julius Bär acquired the independent private banks Ferrier Lullin, Ehinger & Armand von Ernst, Banco di Lugano, and the asset management house Global Asset Management (GAM) of the Swiss banking giant UBS AG, to become one of the largest investment firms in Switzerland. UBS acquired about 21% of Baer's shares as part of the agreement, but sold its stake in greater than 2007. GAM was segregated as a independent company in October 2009. The group companies are consolidated within the Julius Bär Gruppe AG, whose shares are listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
Alex Widmer, the executive advisor of Bank Julius Baer, died suddenly on December 4, 2008. The news in this regard indicates that the death was a suicide. Hans de Gier, the former delegate of the Julius Baer Group, assumed the Widmer's responsibilities temporarily.
On May 16, 2011, former Julius Baer employee Rudolf Elmer announced that he would give Wikileaks detailed bank account information for individual and corporate clients of the group that can give massive indications of tax evasion.

Cantonal Bank of Zurich
The Cantonal Bank of Zurich (in German, Zürcher Kantonalbank or ZKB) is the largest cantonal bank and the fourth largest bank in Switzerland, as well as the leading financial organization in the Zurich metropolitan area, with total assets of more than CHF 110,000 millions.
ZKB, as an independent public regime institution, is wholly owned by the Canton of Zurich. The ultimate responsibility for the supervision of ZKB rests with the Cantonal Council of Zurich, whose functions are established in the Law of the Cantonal Bank of Zurich.
According to the law, the canton of Zurich is subject to the responsibility of all liabilities (payment obligations and debts) that the bank recognizes as having insufficient resources. This cantonal guarantee reinforces the stability of the institution and the financial market in general, particularly in circumstances of economic uncertainty.
In October 2009, the specialized magazine Global Finance rated the ZKB as one of the five safest banks in the world, based on being one of the only five institutions that held the highest AAA / Aaa rating globally the international agencies Standard & Poor's, Fitch and Moody's.

newParadeplatz
The Paradeplatz is a square on the Bahnhofstrasse, in the center of the city of Zurich in Switzerland. The Paradeplatz tram stop is served by lines 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 13. It is one of the most expensive real estate spaces in Switzerland and has become synonymous with wealth and Swiss banks, being the place where the headquarters of both UBS and Credit Suisse are located.
The site of the square was outside the medieval city walls, and was incorporated into the city with the construction of the new walls in 1642.
During the 17th century it served as a cattle market, known as Säumärt ("pig market"), later renamed Neumarkt "new market" in 1819 and finally with its current name after the construction of the Bahnhofstrasse (in 1865).
