The district of Obersimmental (Hispanic High Simmental) is one of the old twenty-six districts of the canton of Bern, Switzerland, located southwest of the canton, has an area of 334 km². The capital of the district was Zweisimmen.

Zweisimmen is a Swiss commune in the canton of Bern, located in the administrative district of Obersimmental-Saanen. It limits to the north with Boltigen, to the east with Diemtigen, to the south with Sankt Stephan, and to the west with Saanen.
Until December 31, 2009 capital of the Obersimmental district. The commune includes the towns of Blankenburg, Grubenwald, Mannried, Oberried, Oeschseite and Reichenstein. Blankenburg is the capital of the Obersimmental district.
