Paralympic
Paralimni (in Greek: Παραλίμνι) is a city located in the southeast of Cyprus, a little further inland, in the Famagusta district. Since the Turkish invasion and occupation of a part of the island, in 1974, it has increased in size and importance due to the migration of many refugees fleeing from the North. Many of the people working in the tourism industry of Protaras and Agia Napa live in Paralimni, which is the now temporary administrative center of the Famagusta District and the largest municipality of Greek Cypriots in the district-controlled area. It has become what looks like a small capital city in the unoccupied area of Famagusta.
