Constance (Germany)

Constance (in German: Konstanz) is a German city in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg located on the southern shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee in German) and bordering with Switzerland. It is the largest and most densely populated city on this large lake, the largest in Germany, fed by the Rhine River and shared with two more countries: Switzerland and Austria. The city of Constance forms a single hull urban real together with the Swiss town of Kreuzlingen, surpassing the 100,000 inhabitants.
There is a bridge that divides the city into two zones, under which the Rhine feeds Lake Constance.
Despite being a small city, its climate makes it a tourist destination and significantly increases its seasonal inhabitants.

Dominican Island

Isla Dominicos or Isla de los Dominicos (in German: Dominikanerinsel or Konstanzer Insel) is an island on Lake Constance immediately east of the city of Constance. With an area of 1.8 hectares, it is one of the smallest islands in the lake. The island is separated from the city center by a six meter wide canal, and connected to it by a bridge. The island is dominated by the Steigenberger hotel, which is located in the former Dominican convent, an old Catholic religious order.
