The Regen River (Czech, Řezná) is a river in Germany, a tributary on the left of the Danube River, which runs through Bavaria and drains into the city of Regensburg. Its name, in German, literally means "Rain." The total length of the river, including its headwaters Großer Regen and Schwarzer Regen, which run partly through the Czech Republic, is 169 km.

The Regensburg Cathedral (in German: Dom St. Peter or Regensburger Dom) is a temple of the Catholic Church, seat of the Diocese of Regensburg; It is the most important church in the city and one of its symbols. It is the most important example of Gothic architecture in Southern Germany.
