Europa-Park is one of the largest theme parks in Europe. It is located in Rust, in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, between Freiburg im Breisgau and Strasbourg, in Germany.
The park is divided into 18 different thematic areas, representing 15 of them a European country or region. The park's mascot is a gray mouse, called Euromaus ("Eurorratón"), although there are many other characters that live in the park.
Europa-Park opened its doors on July 12, 1975, thus being the first theme park on the continent, driven by the entertainment company Mack Rides and the Strasbourg City Hall. Currently, it has 13 roller coasters and 72 attractions. The park is visited annually by more than 5 million people.
