Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden ([ˈviːsˌbaːdn̩]; in Latin: Aquae Mattiacae) is a city located in southwestern Germany, on the banks of the Rhine River, near the mouth of the Main and facing the city of Mainz, located on the opposite bank. It is the capital of the German federated state of Hesse. It is an elegant and busy seaside town. Thanks to its thermal baths it is popularly known as "The Nice of the North".
