Santa Barbara Castle
The castle of Santa Bárbara (in Valencia, Castell de Santa Bàrbara) is a castle located in the center of the Spanish city of Alicante, on Mount Benacantil, a rocky mass of 167 m of altitude bordering the sea, which conferred an enormous strategic value since from it the entire bay of Alicante and its terrestrial surroundings can be seen. The image of the mountain from the beach resembles a face, so it is called "the face of the Moor" and is an icon of the city of Alicante.
There are historians who date the origin of the place name in the words Bena, transcription into Arabic of Pinna, 'Peña' in Latin, and of Laqanti, an adjective that comes from Laqant, Alicante for the Arabs.

Torrent building
The Torrent building located in the Plaza del Doctor Balmis number 6 of the city of Alicante (Spain) is a Valencian modernist multi-family residential building built in 1911 that is attributed to the architect Enrique Sánchez Sedeño who stood out in the architecture panorama Alicante during the last decades of the nineteenth century and especially in the early years of the twentieth century.
The situation of this house in Pl. Balmis, in the surroundings of the San Francisco neighborhood and within the old town of Alicante, responds to one of the most prolific foci of Alicante modernism, although few examples of this architecture have reached us.

Luceros Square
The Plaza de los Luceros (in Valencian, Plaça dels Estels) is the most emblematic of the Spanish city of Alicante. It has in the center a monumental fountain built in 1930 by the Alicante sculptor Daniel Bañuls Martínez, which popularized the name of Plaça dels Cavalls (Plaza de los Caballos) from that moment, although officially and until 1934 it was called the Plaza de la Independencia. From that date it was renamed Plaza de Cataluña, a name that it maintained until 1941, when it was renamed with its current nomenclature, Plaza de los Luceros, by a stanza of the hymn "Face to the Sun". [4 ]
In the early 1950s this square was a very busy and gathering place of the city, especially on summer evenings, when the fountain offered a free show of water games.
It is the center of various social events in the city of Alicante, such as the Three Kings Cavalcade, parades of the Bonfires of Alicante and place where the mascletás are held; also, this is where the fans of the Hercules Club de Fútbol , after a promotion of category, flock to bathe and enjoy the victories of his team.
