Carabanchel Alto is a station on line 11 of the Madrid Metro located under the avenue of Carabanchel Alto, in the Madrid district of Carabanchel. The station opened to the public on December 18, 2006.
This station has a library service.

Carabanchel Alto (formerly Carabanchel de Suso) was a municipality in the province of Madrid until 1948, the year in which it was annexed as a neighborhood to the city of Madrid, to which it currently belongs.

Buenavista (better known as Carabanchel Alto) is the 116th district of the city of Madrid, one of the seven that make up the Carabanchel district. It has 35 919 inhabitants.
The Buenavista neighborhood limits to the north on Avenida de los Poblados, with the neighborhoods of Abrantes, Puerta Bonita and Vista Alegre, to the south with the M40 and Leganés, to the west with Aluche and Las Águilas, and to the east on the Carretera de Toledo with the neighborhood of Orcasitas (Usera).
Until 1970 Aluche belonged to Carabanchel Alto until it became a neighborhood in Latina.
Carabanchel was much larger than it is today, it included the District of Latina, bordered by Alcorcón and the City of the Image.

The Church of San Pedro in the city of Madrid (Spain) located in the Buenavista neighborhood of the Carabanchel district is a Catholic temple, in which the church tower stands out. The tower of the parish church was part of the temple of the now disappeared municipality of Carabanchel Alto.
