Conil de la Frontera is a Spanish municipality in the province of Cádiz, in the autonomous community of Andalucía. The phrase "de la Frontera" refers to the border of Granada. In 2016 it had 22,427 inhabitants. Its municipal area occupies 88.51 km² and is limited by the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It is one of the most picturesque villages on the Costa de la Luz, with places of high ecological and historical value. Its economy is based on seasonal tourism and, to a lesser extent, on agriculture and fishing. In summer its population has reached 110,000 people.
Its geographical coordinates are 36º 16 'N, 6º 05' W. It is located at an altitude of 41 meters from sea level and 43 kilometers from the provincial capital, Cádiz.

Los Bateles beach is located in Conil de la Frontera (Cádiz), on the Costa de la Luz. It is 850 meters long and 130 meters wide, and runs along the center of the town from the mouth of the Salado River. The composition of the soil is fine golden sand, and the swell is moderate.
The beach has a promenade, and is one of the busiest in Conil, although the breadth of it allows it to settle on it without suffering excessive agglomerations. The area of ​​the mouth of the Salado River is highly recommended for sports such as windsurfing. The beach is equipped with services such as rescue equipment and parking area. In addition, there are several beach bars and a variety of establishments in its vicinity.
