Ampuriabrava (in Catalan and officially Empuriabrava) is a population entity of the municipality of Castellón de Ampurias, in the region of Alto Ampurdán, province of Gerona (Spain). It is located in the Gulf of Roses, surrounded by the Ampurdán Marsh Natural Park, and constitutes the most important residential marina in Europe, with about 24 km of navigable canals. It had a population of 7805 inhabitants in 2012 (INE).
