Fornells
Fornells is a locality and Spanish district belonging to the municipality of Mercadal, in the north of the island of Menorca, autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is located in the bay of the same name.
During the first decade of the 21st century, a platform was created that sought the segregation of Fornells and the constitution as an independent municipality. The application was rejected both by the Insular Council of Menorca and by the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands.

Fornells Tower
The Tower of Fornells is one of the many defense towers that surround the coast of Menorca. That of Fornells was built between 1801 and 1802, in the last period of British domination, with the aim of monitoring the entrance of the port of Fornells, preventing the landing of enemy ships and protecting the Castle of San Antonio.

San Antonio Castle (Fornells)
The Castle of San Antonio (Castell de Sant Antoni in Catalan) is a fortress located in the Spanish town of Fornells, in the municipality of Mercadal, in Menorca. It was built in the seventeenth century in the port of the town, and thanks to this construction the population was born.
Only a few remains of the structure remain, as it was dismantled by the Spaniards after British domination, just like San Felipe Castle. Nearby is the Tower of Fornells; defensive tower whose object was to protect the castle from enemy attacks.

Hermitage of Lourdes
The hermitage of Lourdes or Hermitage of the Mother of God of Lourdes, in menorquín Hermitage of the Mare de Déu de Lourdes, is a small hermitage located in the Menorcan town of Fornells, belonging to the municipality of Mercadal.
The hermitage takes advantage of a small natural cave.
It is located at the north end of the town, on a road that starts from the parking lot that is located at the end of Tramontana Street, in Menorca Carrer de la Tramuntana, and ascends in a westerly direction to head towards the Fornells Tower.

Church of San Antonio Abad (Fornells)
The church of San Antonio Abad de Fornells, in Menorcan Església de Sant Antoni Abat de Fornells, is a church located at number 2 of the Calle de las Escuelas, in Menorca Carrer de Ses Escoles, which serves as a parish of the Menorcan town of Fornells belonging to the municipality of Mercadal. This parish is attached to the Catholic cult and belongs to the Diocese of Menorca. It receives its name from the monk and holy Christian San Antonio Abad.
The Church was already built in the middle of the 17th century, the date of 1639 is given as the year of its construction, to serve the small suburb that served the San Antonio Castle, although with the increase in population that Fornells experienced, it was expanded in the XVIII century.
The church is of a simple construction, similar to others built in Menorca at the same time. It is of a single ship with three small chapels on each side.
The church can be visited and the visit is free.

The Casa del Contramaestre, in Menorcan Casa del Contramestre, of the Menorcan town of Fornells is an old shipwreck rescue station that currently serves as a tourist information point and headquarters of the Fornells nautical station.
It is located on Calle del Gobernador, in Menorcan Carrer del Carrer del Governador, very close to the parish church of San Antonio Abad.
It is a single-storey building in the shape of a Greek cross and was built at the beginning of the 20th century to house shipwrecks.
Currently, it no longer has that use and serves as a tourist information point and also as the headquarters of the Fornells nautical station.
