newPalace of the Salazar
The so-called Salazar palace-house located in the municipality of Haro (La Rioja, Spain) is a building from the second half of the 17th century and owes its name to the fact that, probably, its builder and first owner was Don Juan de Salazar Ortegón (1632-1707), as justified by the presence on the facades of shields with 13 stars, iconography that responds to the house of Salazar. In addition on the facade to the street of La Paz there are two shields, in one of which the drawing of stars appears in a painting and in the other the iconography of the González de Suso, to whose family belonged the wife of Don Juan de Salazar , Mrs. Francisca González de Suso.

Church of Santo Tomás (Haro)
The parish church of Santo Tomás Apóstol is a religious temple of Catholic worship under the invocation of Tomás el Apóstol from the town of Haro, in the autonomous community of La Rioja (Spain). It was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1931.
It is located on the second highest hill in the town center, called La Mota or La Atalaya, which makes it visible from many points in the city and from almost anywhere in the outskirts of Haro.
Its construction expanded in time between the 16th and 18th centuries, making different styles visible according to the time in which the different parts were made. Thus the oldest and most valued part is its main cover, plateresque style, built by Felipe Bigarny, considered one of the most outstanding sculptors of the Spanish Renaissance. The head of the church, of great height, is of late Gothic style, being the rest of the Renaissance ship. The great tower is mainly baroque and was of the utmost importance, since it served as a model for the construction of other towers in La Rioja. Its main altarpiece and its organ are also baroque.

Basilica of Our Lady of La Vega (Haro)
The Basilica of Our Lady of La Vega de Haro (La Rioja, Spain) is located in the place of La Vega. It is believed that it was built in the 10th century, after reaching the city the image of the Virgen de la Vega.
The Baroque style building is the result of several extensions, the last of them from the 18th century according to the project of Bernardo de Munilla and Juan de Villanueva and carried out by Pedro Orcaechea, Ignacio Escurra and Pedro de Elejalde.
The baroque altarpiece of the main altar built in 1740 by Santiago del Amo stands out. In the center of this is an image of the Virgin Mary and at her side her parents, San Joaquin and Santa Ana. These 1740 carvings are by Manuel Lomero.
On September 7, 1952, the basilica was solemnly consecrated, considering this date as the fourth centenary of the founding of the brotherhood of La Vega.
The image of the Virgin of the Vega, in Gothic style, is dated in the fourteenth century. It measures 1.30 m and has a grenade added (by the intervention of Pedro Fernández III de Velasco and his jarrero followers in the capture of Granada in 1492. Interpretation confirming the emblems of Castile, León and Granada at the foot of the throne) and spikes of wheat (for the prodigious fact attributed to the Virgin, of having turned barley into wheat to pay the debts of a needy family)
