Palmanova

Palmanova is a tourist town belonging to the Spanish town hall of Calviá, in Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands. It has three beaches of approximately sixty meters wide and also a small marina. It is one of the towns that is part of the framework of the Paseo Calviá, a pedestrian promenade known locally as the «Green lung " Township.
It is adjacent to the tourist complex of Magaluf to the west, and that of "Son Caliu" (former name of the area) to the east. It was born as a residential urbanization in 1934, in a project that intended to build a garden city. In 2009 it was considered one of the most important tourist areas of the island. It is located fourteen kilometers from the capital, Palma, and offers an important variety of restaurants and entertainment venues. The promenade, next to its beach, invites you to rest and to the walk between groves, green areas and boulevards. The beach, for its quality and services, was awarded the Quality Q. It is the only beach on the entire Balearic coast that has this distinction.
