Mil Palmeras is a town that is next to the sea, a district dependent on the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada (23,403 inhabitants, according to INE 2012), in the province of Alicante, Spain. It is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, bordering to the north with Dehesa de Campoamor, which is a district of Orihuela and to the south with Torre de la Horadada
It is a coastal town, born as an urbanization adjacent to the coast of the municipality, is framed next to the natural mouth of the Río Seco, a rounded river that runs about 16 km through the entire municipality of Pilar de la Horadada.
