San Antonio Abad (in Catalan and officially Sant Antoni de Portmany) is a parish and a Spanish municipality on the island of Ibiza, in the autonomous community of Islas Baleares, Spain. Located in the west of the island, it corresponds to the old quarter of Portmany, one of the four in which Jaime I divided the island in the thirteenth century. The word Portmany comes from the Latin portus magnus, "big port" that was adopted by the Arabs as burt'uman and then by the conquerors of Aragonese origin to the current expression.
It is currently one of the main tourist centers of the island of Ibiza. The main nucleus is located 15 km from the capital (the city of Ibiza), and has a large port at the bottom of a bay, which allows maritime traffic of passengers and goods with the peninsula.

Café del Mar is an Ibiza bar, located next to San Antonio beach, famous for the selection of music that plays at sunset.
Built on an idea from Zaragoza's Ramón Guiral Broto, Carlos Andrea and José Les, and designed by the architect Lluis Güell, it was inaugurated on June 20, 1980. The store commercially exploited a simple idea: enjoy the sunsets of Caló Bay Des Moro while listening to good music and having a drink.
Since 1994, Café Del Mar has released chill out, lounge, ambient, chill house and balearic beats albums every year with its musical selection that reflects the Ibizan atmosphere. They started under the English label React Music and the distribution of Vital, but in 1997 they moved to London's Mercury Records. He also published Café Del Mar - Classic, classics adapted to Café Del Mar sound.
In the summer of 2004, Café Del Mar opened stores in Altea and Lanzarote, followed by others, and (according to data published in 2005) on that date more than 4 million people had seen the sunset from Café Del Mar at sunset , and more than 9 million of its 25 CDs and more than one million units of clothing had been sold worldwide. To celebrate the event, Café Del Mar 25 Anniversary was published, a triple CD with unpublished themes and a second album Café Del Mar - Classic.
On July 13, 2007, the jury of the University School of Tourism of the Consular Insular of Ibiza awarded the Tourism School Awards in recognition of the work performed by professionals of companies for Ibizan tourism. The organization awarded one of them to Café Del Mar for its "creativity and innovation."
In May 2017, Café del Mar opens its largest beach club in the world in Barcelona, ​​called Café del Mar Club Barcelona. Located in the Port Fòrum of Sant Adrià, it has a total area of ​​4,000m2 distributed over 4 floors that includes a pool area, a club, a restaurant as well as an author's cocktail bar and offers premium services enlivened with the best chill out music.
José Padilla has been a DJ and artistic manager of most albums in the Café Del Mar series.
Currently, Café Del Mar has a radio program on the Europa FM station with Chill Out content that airs on Fridays and Saturdays, between 3 and 6 in the morning.
