Tarragona (Province)

La Tarraconense (from Latin Hispania Citerior Tarraconensis) was a Roman province and later Visigoth of Hispania. Its capital was Colonia Iulia Urbs Triumphalis Tarraco, the current Tarragona, from which it took its name.
It was one of the largest provinces of the Roman Empire until the end of the third century when the reorganization of Diocletian broke the Carthaginia and Gallaecia from it. Despite its large size, except for the areas of the Mediterranean coast, it was quite unpopulated and had a lower degree of urbanization than the rest of the Hispanic territories.

N-240

The N-240 is a Spanish national road that connects Tarragona with Bilbao. Its approximate length is 550 kilometers. Born in Tarragona on the N-340 and goes to Valls (section parallel to the A-27 highway, already built) and Montblanch (A-27 parallel highway under construction), from where it runs parallel to the AP-2 until reaching Lleida In this city it intersects with N-II and with the N-230 in the center of Lleida and with the E-90 A-2 north of it. It continues its route until it reaches Huesca, where it meets the E-7A-23 N-330 road, with which it shares a route to Jaca, where the E-7 N-330 continues north and the N-240 continues westward. Formerly, the N-240 corresponded with the layout of the current A-132 road, leaving Huesca on the west to go to Ayerbe, Murillo de Gállego and the Pantano de la Peña, continuing towards Pamplona through the Port of Santa Bárbara. It disappears in the Community of Navarra, since after the construction of the Autovía del Pirineo (A-21), it has been renamed NA-2420 which reaches the town of Torres de Elorz and serves as a service route for said dual carriageway. There is only one subvariant of the national known as N-240-A that runs from the town of Berriozar to Irurzun; from the latter and throughout the western section of Navarra, it becomes the NA-2410 that serves as a service road for the Barranca Highway (A-10) to the town of Alsasua, where with the A-1 it shares the route until Vitoria, on the way to Bilbao, leading to the E-70 N-634, near Bilbao.
This national is being unfolded in different highways along its route:

A-27 Highway from Tarragona to Valls built and to Montblanch under construction (June 2017).
AP-2 Toll road from Montblanch to built Lleida.
A-22 Highway from Lleida to Huesca, built to Siétamo.
A-23 Highway from Huesca to Jaca, built to Arguis, another section just before Sabiñánigo and from Cartirana to Guasa.
A-21 Highway from Jaca to Noáin, built in sections between Asso-Veral and Escó, between Tiermas and Noáin
A-15 motorway of the Pamplona variant and AP-15 toll highway from Pamplona to Irurzun.
Barranca highway from Irurzun to Alsasua.
A-1 from Alsasua to Vitoria.
N-240 from Vitoria to Legutiano. From Vitoria to Bilbao you can take the route through the N-622 motorway to Murguía and the E-804 AP-68 toll road, which runs a similar distance.

Tarraco Arena Plaza

The bullring of Tarragona, today known as "Tarraco Arena Plaça", is a historic building of modernist style built by local architect Ramón Salas Ricomá and is considered one of the first samples of Modernism in the province of Tarragona. [ 1]
The property occupied its original use until 2006 when the reform initiated by the Diputación de Tarragona, owner of the building, made it impossible to continue holding bullfights in its interior, covered by the applicable legislation in Catalonia.
The inauguration of the bullring took place with the celebration of a bullfight from the cattle ranch of Antonio Hernández and Félix Gómez, who stole the right-handed Rafael Molina "Lagartijo" and Salvador Sánchez "Frascuelo".
