The Palau Solterra is the headquarters of the Museum of Contemporary Photography (national and international) of the Vila Casas Foundation located in the Empordanese town of Torroella de Montgrí and inaugurated in 2000. It currently hosts around two hundred contemporary photographs exhibited from Artists from various parts of the world.
The Palau Solterra is a palace of the s. XV of civil architecture that was the historical residence of the counts of Torroella de Montgrí. In addition to the permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions and a series of conferences on history and humanities are organized annually.
