It acts as a parish church, is dedicated to San Martín de Tours and is part of the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. The Gothic church with the presence of construction elements belonging to the end of the Romanesque, is one of the most notable in the Valley of Aran.

The river or arriu Nere is a river that runs through the Aran Valley, is a tributary of the Garonne River.
The river Nere is born in the glacial lakes of Lac deth Hòro and Estanh Nere in the upper part of the Nere Valley or Ribèra deth Nere, valley crowned by the peaks of the Forcanada or Malh des Pois (2,883 m) and Cap deth Hòro de Molières o Cap de Toro (2,971 m).
The river Nere is fed along its route of several ravines such as Hereishedo, deth Pòrt or Sant Estèue, until its mouth in the Garonne in the town of Viella.

The Aran Valley Museum (in Aranese, Musèu dera Val d'Aran, in Catalan, Museu de la Vall d'Aran) is a regional museum dedicated to the history, art, ethnography and ethnology of the Aran Valley. Based in Vielha, it is located in a late Gothic manor house called Tor deth Generau Martinhon. It also occupies the Joanchiquet House of Vilamòs and the church of San Juan de Arties.
Its main objective is to preserve the Aranese culture in all its spheres, through the different stages and times of the Aran Valley. His museological discourse explains, then, the history of the valley from the Bronze Age to the beginning of the 21st century. In 2008 he joined the Network of Ethnological Museums of Catalonia.
