Menton (Mentan in mentonasco, Mentone in Italian) is a French town located in the department of Alpes-Maritimes, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. It is located almost on the Italian border, halfway between the Italian city of Ventimiglia and the principality of Monaco. The gentilicio of its inhabitants in the mentonasca language is: mentonasc or mentounasc in singular and mentonaschi (pronunciation: [mentonaski]) in plural.
