Nancy is a French city, capital of the department of Meurta and Moselle in the Great East region, northeast of France. Located in the lower course of the Meurta river, near its confluence with the Moselle river, it is a river port of the Marne-Rin and Paris-Nancy canals.
The city is part of the Urban Community of Gran Nancy, which has twenty municipalities.
It was the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine. In the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, most of what is now the center of the city was built. The Nancy Museum of Fine Arts, created on May 16, 1793, is one of the oldest museums in France. Initially installed in the Visitation chapel, it was quickly transferred to Nancy's Stanislas Square, to one of the four large pavilions that surround the square, created in 1755, by the Duke of Lorraine Estanislao Leszczynski, located between the monumental fountain of Neptune and the entrance of rue Stanislas, in the old city of Nancy.

The park of the Nursery of Nancy (in French, Parc de la Pépinière), colloquially called the Pépinière, or by the apocope the Pep, is a public park in France that is located in the city of Nancy and has a rose garden of 21 , 7 hectares of extension.
The Parc de la Pépinière has been considered as a notable garden in France since 2010. He is a member of the CPJF (Committee des parcs et jardins de France).

Palace of the Dukes of Lorraine (Nancy)
The palace of the Dukes of Lorraine (in French, palais des Ducs de Lorraine) is the former residence of the Dukes of Lorraine, its main residence from the Renaissance until the 18th century, when the court of Lorraine was transferred to the castle of Lunéville. It currently houses the Lorraine Museum that traces the history of the territory of Lorraine from prehistory to the present, passing mainly through the history of the Duchy of Lorraine.
It is a Gothic-Renaissance building located in the heart of Nancy's safeguarded sector, right next to the Cordeleros church.
The palace has undergone several protections under the title of historical monuments (classified in 1840 and 2005; inscribed in 1945 and 2005).

Lorraine National Opera
The Lorraine National Opera (Opéra national de Lorraine) is an opera and opera house located in the city of Nancy, in the French province of Lorraine. He was previously named as Opéra de Nancy et de Lorraine, receiving the category of "national opera" in 2006.
The company's original theater was built during the reign of the Duke of Lorraine (and King of Poland), Stanislas Leszczyńesquí in 1758. This theater, located behind the Museum of Fine Arts, was destroyed by fire in October 1905, and a The new theater was built in the same location, in Stanislas Square, designed by Joseph Hornecker, and opened in 1919.
Joseph Hornecker, a member of the "Nancy School," created the theater in classical style, combined with features of "art nouveau". The building helped make Nancy a center of art and architecture that rivaled Paris and helped give the city the nickname "Capitale de l'Est."
The theater underwent a renovation in 1994.
