Conwy Castle

Conwy Castle (in Welsh: Castell Conwy) is a medieval fortification located in Conwy, on the north coast of Wales, United Kingdom.
It was built by Edward I during the conquest of Wales, between 1283 and 1289. Like many other castles in the area, it was designed by James of St. George. The castle is divided into two courtyards, one exterior and one interior surrounded by four towers each. It is estimated that £ 15,000 was spent on building the castle and the city's defenses, the largest sum spent by Eduardo on any of his castles between 1277 and 1304.
