Portman Road is a football stadium in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. It has been the stadium of the Ipswich Town Football Club since 1884. The stadium has also received an international friendly match of the England national team. It has been the scene of several different sporting events such as athletics, meetings and international hockey matches. The stadium has also held several music concerts, including concerts by R.E.M and Elton John.
The stadium underwent many changes in early 2000. This increased its capacity from 22,600 to 30,131 spectators. It is the largest capacity football stadium in East Anglia. The record of 38 010 people in the stadium was set in an FA Cup match against Leeds United in 1975.
