Southport is a seaside resort in the Borough metropolitan area of Sefton in Merseyside, England. One of the most populous villages in the North West of England.
Southport lies in the Irish Sea on the North West coast of England and in the north by the Ribble Estuary. The town is located 16.5 miles (26.6 km) north of the city of Liverpool and 14.8 miles (23.8 km) southwest of the city of Preston in Lancanshire.

The Kingsway (also known as Kingsway Club, and Bliss) was a nightclub and casino built in 1931 at the southern end of the Seafront in the coastal town of Southport, Merseyside, England, United Kingdom. In the 1960s he received many well-known celebrities, such as The Beatles, Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. It was also very popular during the era of 1980 with punk and the era of 1990 with dance. The nightclub and bar closed in 2004 and were reopened for a short time during 2006 before closing its doors for the last time in 2007. In 2008 plans to demolish the site and build a luxury hotel, apartments and complex were announced. commercial, none of which came to fruition. On September 6, 2010, a large fire destroyed the abandoned building. The building was demolished two days later.
