Genoa (in Italian, Genova, pronounced [dʒɛːnova]; Zena in the Genoese dialect of the Ligurian language) is the sixth Italian city and the third in Northern Italy by population, as it has 609,746 inhabitants and the fourth city by economic movement . Strade Nuove
The Strade Nuove is the historic center of the Italian city of Genoa. The bulk of streets and palaces that make up the Rolli of Genoa was built between the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries coinciding with the splendor of the Republic of Genoa.
The system represents the first European example of urban development designed to organize and create different public centers in private residences. Genoa Aquarium
The Genoa aquarium (in Italian: Acquario di Genova) is the largest aquarium in Italy and the second in the European Union, after the one in Valencia. It was built for the 1992 Expo.
It is located in Ponte Spinola, in the old port (16th century) of the city.
To get there, it is possible to take the subway at the railway station and get off at the "San Giorgio" station. By car, exit the highway at "Genova Ovest".
To visit the entire museum it takes about two and a half hours.
The Genoa aquarium takes part in the European AquaRing project, an educational project about the aquatic world.
