The Universal Esperanto Association (in Esperanto, Universala Esperanto-Asocio, UEA) was founded in 1908. The UEA is currently the largest international organization for Esperanto speakers and has members in 119 countries. De Doelen is a concert hall and convention center located in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. It was originally built in 1934, destroyed in 1940 during the Second World War bombings and rebuilt in 1966.
It has a variety of facilities, including the Grote Zaal, a large concert hall with 2200 seats that can also be used as a convention center. It currently hosts the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
