Rutherford Hotel
The Rutherford Hotel (in English: Rutherford Hotel) is a luxury hotel in Nelson, New Zealand. He receives his name in honor of physicist and Nobel laureate Sir Ernest Rutherford. With 113 rooms, it is Nelson's largest hotel and, with nine floors, the tallest building in the city. It was opened in 1972 by then Prime Minister Norman Kirk. It is part of the Heritage hotel chain.
The hotel is located at the intersection of Trafalgar Square and Nile Street West, with its main entrance in the square that borders the gardens of Nelson Cathedral.
Its two conference rooms can host 1000 speakers in total and in 2013 the hotel hosted the annual congress of the political party then in the government, the National Party of New Zealand.

Trafalgar Park is a multi-purpose stadium located in the city of Nelson, New Zealand. Having been inaugurated on April 21, 1888, it has a capacity for 18,000 spectators. It receives its name in honor of the Battle of Trafalgar of 1805, in which the British Royal Navy defeated the naval navies of Spain and France.
Most teams in the city that compete in national tournaments use it: Tasman United of the Soccer Championship; the Tasman Makos of the ITM Cup; and the Tasman Titans of the Rugby League. It was one of the venues used for the 2011 Rugby World Cup and the place where the Chatham Cup final was played in 1978.
