JPMorgan Chase Tower (Houston)

The JPMorgan Chase Tower is a skyscraper located in downtown Houston, Texas (United States). At first he was baptized with the name of Texas Commerce Tower. It is the tallest building in Houston and Texas. It measures 305 meters high and consists of 75 floors that house offices. The works finished in 1982.
The tower began to rise at 600 Travis Street in 1978. It was designed by architects I. M. Pei & Partners. According to the initial plans, 80 plants were projected, but the FAA expressed concern about the excessive height of the project, which could dangerously interfere with the planes taking off and landing at the nearby William P. Hobby Airport.
The skyscraper surpassed the Los Angeles Aon Center as the tallest building in the United States west of the Mississippi River. He remained in that position until the completion of U.S. construction. Bank Tower in Los Angeles in 1990.
The JPMorgan Chase Tower is also connected to the Houston Downtown Tunnel System. This system forms an underground network of tunnels for pedestrians and air conditioning conduits that unites at least twenty-five skyscrapers in this part of the city. It has an observatory on the 60th floor, from which you can see a panoramic view of the entire city of Houston.
