Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is one of the auditoriums of the Los Angeles Music Center complex, one of the three largest art centers in the United States. The other auditoriums in the complex are the Mark Taper Forum, the Ahmanson Theater, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Since the Disney Hall opened in October 2003, the auditorium is the headquarters of the Los Angeles Opera and the Music Center Dance. Before it had been from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

Before the creation of the Los Angeles Opera company, the New York City Opera used to use the stage when visiting the city. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held its Annual Awards Ceremony at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion between 1969 and 1987, and at the editions held in the years 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, being the last time it took place there, the 1999 edition.
