The Fadri

El Fadrí is a bell tower in the city of Castellón de la Plana, Spain. It is municipal property and is characterized because it is separated from the cathedral, unlike other bell towers that are integrated into the same ecclesiastical building. Located in the Plaza Mayor, in the center of the city, next to the church of Santa María and the town hall. His name comes to him for the same reason: fadri means "single" in Valencian, referring to being alone and separated from the cathedral.
It is a building made in Valencian Gothic style, octagonal, with four bodies that correspond to the clock chamber, the prison, the bell house and the bell chamber (it has eight dump bells and three fixed ones located in the spire to indicate the rooms and hours).
