Conil de la Frontera is a Spanish municipality in the province of Cádiz, in the autonomous community of Andalucía. The phrase "de la Frontera" refers to the border of Granada. In 2016 it had 22,427 inhabitants. Its municipal area occupies 88.51 km² and is limited by the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It is one of the most picturesque villages on the Costa de la Luz, with places of high ecological and historical value. Its economy is based on seasonal tourism and, to a lesser extent, on agriculture and fishing. In summer its population has reached 110,000 people.

Los Bateles beach is located in Conil de la Frontera (Cádiz), on the Costa de la Luz. It is 850 meters long and 130 meters wide, and runs along the center of the town from the mouth of the Salado River. The composition of the soil is fine golden sand, and the swell is moderate.
