Guetaria (in Euskera and officially Getaria) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Guipúzcoa, Basque Country.
Guetaria is a coastal town, known primarily for being the hometown of sailor Juan Sebastián Elcano, the first man to go around the world. It is a habitual tourist destination within the Basque Country. Its restaurants that prepare grilled fish and white wine with designation of origin that are grown nearby that are called chacolí de Guetaria are famous.

The church of San Salvador (Salbatore Parroki Eliza) in Guetaria (province of Guipúzcoa, Spain) is a Gothic style building that is declared a National Monument. It dates from at least the fourteenth century, although most of it was built between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries and had to undergo numerous repairs during the nineteenth century because of the damage it suffered in the Carlist Wars.
In this church the first General Meetings of Guipúzcoa were held in 1397.
