San Lorenzo Beach

San Lorenzo beach is located in the center of Gijón. With a length of 1550 meters and shell shape, it is one of the most emblematic beaches of the Principality of Asturias. It extends from stairs 0 ("La Cantábrica"), located behind the Church of San Pedro, to stairs number 16 (area popularly known as "el Tostaderu"), at the mouth of the Piles River. However, a rocky area extends for three hundred meters to the "Mayan of Earth", reaching a total length of about 1.8 km. Parallel to it runs the Paseo del Muro de San Lorenzo, which continues eastward beyond the beach itself with the well-known coastal path of Cervigón, a sea route of more than 2 kilometers that brings us closer to other beaches such as Rinconín or from Peñarrubia.
