Mijas is an Andalusian municipality in the province of Málaga (Spain). It is located on the Costa del Sol, 30 km southwest of the provincial capital, and integrated into the region of the Costa del Sol Occidental, the commonwealth of municipalities of the same name and the judicial party of Fuengirola. According to the 2018 INE census, Mijas has 80 630 inhabitants, which makes it the fourth municipality in the province in terms of population. The church of the Immaculate Conception of Mijas (province of Malaga, Spain) is located in the upper part of the town, inside what was the original population center. After the fall of Mijas in Castilian hands, the former inhabitants were expelled. The Miniatures Museum of Mijas, whose name for 40 years was "Carromato de Max", is a collection of miniatures exhibited in what was a wagon of comedians, of wood and sheet metal, in the municipality of Mijas. Said wagon was replaced in 1992 by a construction site made in the image of the original.
