The Acequia Mayor (in Catalan, Sèquia Major) is a Special Conservation Zone (ZEC) located in the province of Tarragona, autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The natural area has an extension of 54 ha and was proposed in December 1997 as a Site of Community Importance, approved in 2006 and definitely transformed into ZEC in 2014. It is a small space of the Plan of Natural Interest Spaces or PEIN and is part of the Natura 2000 network, includes a channel of approximately one kilometer in length that presents the interest of being a residual sample of the rest of old wetlands as well as two flood areas, one in the south-west end of the ditch and the other in the north end, is located in the municipality from Vilaseca.
