Amparo Villa

Villa Amparo is an old «Mas» or preserved villa in the Valencian town of Rocafort (Spain). In that orchard space lived, between 1936 and 1938, the poet Antonio Machado, his mother and some brothers and nephews.
The stay was collected in the diaries of José, the poet's Benjamin brother, published in the last solitudes of the poet Antonio Machado, and whose narrative has been later collected and supplemented with other testimonies by biographers and studious Machadians. [4 ]
