San Justo Desvern

San Justo Desvern (in Catalan and officially Sant Just Desvern [ˈsaɲ ˈʒust dəzˈβɛrn]) is a Spanish municipality in the Lower Llobregat region that is part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona. It is at an approximate distance of 5.4 km from the district of Sarriá-San Gervasio and 10.6 km from the center of Barcelona, municipality with which it borders.
A part of the municipality is within the territory of the Collserola mountain range and fully integrated into it. The urban and architectural typology conserves emblematic farmhouses and modernist buildings such as the Walden building built by the famous architect Ricardo Bofill Leví.
San Justo Desvern, due to its proximity to Barcelona, its little more than 17 000 inhabitants and the tranquility in which it is located, is among the ten highest per capita income municipalities according to the barometer of the IDESCAT (Statistical Institute of Catalonia) and it is because several celebrities, politicians, consuls and businessmen live in it, such as the former president of the Generalitat of Catalonia José Montilla, the president of Repsol YPF SA Antoni Brufau or the FC players Barcelona José Manuel Pinto, Ronald Koeman, among others.
San Justo Desvern is twinned with the municipalities of Camoapa (Nicaragua) and Horb am Neckar (Germany).
